Kim Austell

Northern Texas Softball Director

Kim embraced softball at a young age, honing her skills to become Freshman player of the year at The Colony High School in suburban Dallas. She earned a full-ride scholarship to East Central University in Oklahoma. She worked as a dental pharmaceutical rep for 10 years and for six years at Colgate.
Kim has two daughters – Marley (7) and Gentry (5). The family thrives by spending time at their lake house, riding 4-wheelers, and enjoying water activities like fishing, tubing and jet skiing.
She enjoys shopping, meals with friends and family, and occasionally yelling/coaching through the TV while watching a game.
“I find that many of my weaknesses and strengths can always be improved upon through learning and relying on others in a teamwork environment. I get my motivation straight from the heart. The heart never lies, and I have found that all goals and desires that come from anywhere else never seem to get achieved. If they do, they don’t tend to hold much weight.”
