Providing a competitive advantage in sports through the utilization of sensor and subjective data analysis.
CSE evaluates youth and collegiate athletes using top of the line sensor data technology to capture objective and subjective metrics. Every athlete is evaluated using the same standard, verified measurement protocols. Pocket Radar is used to capture hitting data, Rapsodo is used to capture pitching data, and VALD Performance is used to capture athleticism data.
The metrics captured during an evaluation are cleaned, authenticated, analyzed, and statistically verified within CSE’s predictive data set which includes longitudinal metrics collected by CSE. This process is overseen by an in-house team of Data Analysts who work closely with two dedicated doctoral mathematicians and three research universities.
The results reveal baseline norms specific to collegiate and youth age divisions and are individualized by player positions. These predictive findings provide significant insight to better inform player selection, game management, and player development.
Our evaluations put sensor data in the hands of coaches and athletes to better inform developmental needs and drive a competitive advantage at the collegiate level. Results are displayed on The CSE Slider providing a visual representation of what college division level an athlete’s skill sets compare to. The ranking is based off of a scale ranging from 20 to 80 that can be calculated from a combination of both the objective and subjective results.
CSE’s core company values motivate our team every day to provide a competitive advantage to sports using data & analytics.
