Kevin Shelton

Northern Texas Softball Director

Kevin has been a leader in club fastpitch for many years as the director of the Texas Glory, one of the most accomplished programs in the nation. He earned a nuclear engineering degree from Texas A&M and served on a Navy submarine for more than eight years. He also had successful stints with Proctor & Gamble, Pepsico/Frito-Lay, and in business development for an independent cardboard-display firm.
Kevin has been married for more than 32 years and has six children and seven grandchildren. As he says, all the grandkids are required to hit from the left side of the plate.
He is a forever fan of fastpitch; how it demands precision and how it compels players to improve, with each mental or physical error usually resulting in negative results.
“I’m motivated internally to do my best at whatever it is I attack. My motto is: try to leave it better than you found it. Team is everything – working toward a common goal is how we can amplify each person’s efforts to achieve great things. If each person dedicated their talents to the common goal, the team thrives.”
