National Girls and Women in Sports Day

February 7th marked National Girls and Women in Sports Day in America,  and women across the nation found amazing ways to celebrate. 2024 was the 38th year in NGWSD’s long history of empowering girls and women to stay active and develop confidence through sport. This past year saw many milestones in female sports: 

  • World record attendance at Nebraska Volleyball Day (92,003)
  • Female athletes soar in N.I.L. landscape with high profile deals (State Farm, Adidas, etc.)
  • ESPN sets viewership record for NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship
  • USA adds domestic women’s pro volleyball leagues 
  • Millions tune in to USWNT World Cup matches and topple 2019 ratings

 

Women’s sports are undoubtedly on the rise with no chance of slowing down. CSE will be joining in on the celebrations of NGWSD this upcoming weekend at the TC NIT in Kansas City. The Triple Crown brand has become synonymous with excellence in the youth volleyball space, and the Women’s NIT marks the kickoff to the 2024 recruiting season for coaches and athletes alike. Top clubs from across the country will come to compete at the highest level in front of hundreds of college coaches. This year, the Triple Crown team will be recognizing the amazing accomplishments of female athletes and celebrating NGWSD on Sunday at the event with temporary tattoos, hair ribbons, and raffles. Teams, coaches, and vendors are encouraged to wear teal or peach to show their support and encouragement for NGWSD. CSE volleyball is excited to be on site at NIT offering measurement and evaluation for players, while also continuing our mission to empower female athletes.
